Meet the Team
Swansea & CardiffJeremy Phillips
Brand Manager (Swansea and Cardiff)
I have been working for the Sinclair Group for the past twenty three years. I first started as an apprentice technician at Sinclair Volkswagen, Gorseinon. Three years on I decided that getting dirty just wasn’t for me so I moved into commercial retail sales selling Volkswagen vans and MAN trucks. From being a salesman I worked my way up to becoming the Sinclair Van Centre Sales Manager, and then in 2005 was appointed the Brand Manager position after many gruelling Volkswagen training qualifications. After two years of heading up the Swansea branch we received the Volkswagen commercial vehicles Award of Excellence 2007 and were named one of the top ten Volkswagen commercial dealers. Since then the commercial side of the business has grown significantly - With a used van site now at Bridgend and with the recent takeover of Cardiff Volkswagen; Sinclair Van Centres can now be found at three prime locations.
As a Brand Manager my role is about overseeing the day to day running of the three locations, making sure that every department achieves the business objectives and that all customer expectations are exceeded. My challenge is to take the sites to the next level and make sure that Sinclair Van Centres are on every van buyers shopping list. I am a proud Welshman and currently live in Swansea, South Wales. When I am not a work, I enjoy coaching my son’s football team, skiing and playing as much golf as possible.

Service Manager (Cardiff)
I started working for Volkswagen sixteen years ago at Hartwell Newport. I started my motor industry career as a service receptionist, working my way up to warranty administrator, and then onto become Hartwell’s warranty manager. I was later approached by Cardiff Volkswagen as they were then to join their team as the Group warranty manager, and after five hard but enjoyable years in this role I got the opportunity to transfer my skills into becoming the service Manager at Newport Volkswagen (Now Sinclair Volkswagen). My latest transfer two and half years ago was over to the Cardiff Volkswagen commercial centre as service manager, and thus is where I remain today, which is now headed up by Sinclair Group.
As a service manager it is my responsibility to ensure that each and every one of our customers has their expectations exceeded in their dealings with us, ensuring that they receive the excellent quality of service that is associated with the brand. I am a Newport lad, born and bred and I love spending my spare time with my family and friends, reading and playing rugby.
