  • How do I decide the best suitable van for my needs?
    To decide which Volkswagen van best suits your needs, you must bear in mind what you need the van for, what kind of equipment you will be carrying and of course the type of driving you anticipate to do. Once you know the answers to these questions, you can either browse the website at the model information that we have provided or alternatively telephone one of our direct Volkswagen Vans sales specialists - they can then discuss with you your requirements and help you find the perfect van and payment solution to satisfy your needs.
  • Do you take part exchange?
    Yes we accept part exchange. Once you have decided which Volkswagen Van is best suited for your needs, you can either email or telephone us at direct Volkswagen Vans to discuss a value for your current vehicle. In order for us to proceed with the part exchange value we will need the full vehicle details including registration, make, model, date of registration, mileage, colour, extras and condition on the vehicle. We can then provide you with an estimated value for part exchange but will of course need to physically see the vehicle before final valuations can be given.
  • What are the options for payment?
    We offer a variety of payment solutions - this can either be cash purchase or of course one of our bespoke finance packages. You can choose from Hire Purchase , Lease Purchase , Contract Hire, Finance Lease or Personal Contract Purchase. For more information on any of these finance packages click into our finance options section, where you will find detailed information on each, enabling you to understand the best option for your needs. Alternatively you can contact one of our direct Volkswagen Vans specialists, whom will be able to answer any queries you may have.
  • What is the procedure for applying for finance?
    Once you have decided which Volkswagen van you are interested in and the method of payment you would like, you will need to contact us at direct Volkswagen Vans by either the contact form or telephone with your full personal details along with the vehicle you are interested in. One of our Sales team will then propose you to a finance house by filling out a form - either Volkswagen Financial Services or Sinclair Finance & Leasing, whom will check you and your business’s credit history. This will then enable them to make a decision of whether you will be eligible for credit - we will have a decision on this within 24hours and one of our sales specialists will contact you immediately.
  • How will the order be confirmed?
    Once we have received an enquiry from you and all finance checks (if relevant) have been verified and you wish to pursue with an order, we will then fill out a relevant order form with all the specific personal, vehicle and payment details which can be sent either electronically or alternatively you can visit either one of our Volkswagen van centres. We will need a signed copy of the order form sent back to us by either fax or post, which we will then keep on file until the vehicle is ready for delivery. At the time of signing the order you will also need to pay the agreed deposit by either cheque or card (we accept most major credit/debit cards). This can again be done over the phone or by visiting the relevant van centre.
  • What are the lead times for vehicle orders?
    There will be a variation of lead times for vehicle orders, depending on whether your chosen van is in stock or needs to be factory ordered. We will do our utmost to try and get a stock vehicle for you by searching through the Volkswagen commercial dealer network. If the van you require is in stock delivery can be within 7-10days. If we need to factory order your chosen Volkswagen van, lead times are usually between 8-12 weeks, but we can of course keep close track of orders and inform you of any changes once order has been confirmed.
  • How will delivery commence?
    Prior to delivery all finance documents will need to be signed and relevant monies will need to be cleared. One of our Sales specialists will then contact you to arrange an appropriate delivery date, time and location that suits you. The van delivery company will then either transport or drive the van (if in close proximity and permitted) to your chosen location. You will then be passed over and asked to check the van, once happy you will need to sign the handover form – one copy stays with you and another copy gets sent back to the van centre to be put on file. This handover sheet is your confirmation of delivery.
  • How will I know my van is due a service?
    The interval between services, depending on how you drive your vehicle and the conditions of use, can be anywhere up to a maximum of approximately 18,000miles or 24 months on Caddys and Transporters or 25,000 miles or 24 months on Crafters (whichever comes first). The service interval display in the instrument panel will indicate when a service is required.   • What breakdown recovery is available with my van?
    All new Volkswagen vans purchased from direct Volkswagen Vans benefit from an unlimited mileage, comprehensive recovery and assistance package across the UK and Europe for three years. This assistance operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
  • Who is responsible for RFL replacement for vans on a finance agreement?
    For those of you who take out a contract hire agreement, the ownership of the van will remain with the finance house so they will therefore provide you with replacement RFL as and when they fall due. For all other finance packages, you are responsible for the replacement of your own RFL.
